Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church is a Christian Community of disciples seeking to glorify God, to grow in Christ, and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.
We commit ourselves to teaching God's Word and sharing the sacraments, deepening our life of prayer and meditation, nurturing our children in Christian learning and love, reaching out in Christian service, practicing Christian stewardship, and witnessing to Jesus Christ in our daily living.
Our Mission at Pacific Beach Presbyterian Church is to embrace all people in the Spirit of God, expanding Christ's call to love one another through living our faith journey.
To love one another well, we are to go and bear fruit.
As Jesus said in John 15:9-12 "As the father has loved me, so I, have loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love just as I have kept my father's commandments and abide in his love. I've said these things to you so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you."
What if we actually tried that? A series of subsequent actions from our outward love may occur like a love-based Rube Goldberg machine. We might find that all of God's commandments lead to love as well.
